1. The Forgivable Education Loans for Service Program (FELS)
was established by the North Carolinas General Assembly to provide
assistance to qualified students who are committed to working in
North Carolina in designated critical employment shortage professions.
Students interested in receiving assistance through the FELS Program
should read the loan forgiveness eligibility requirements and the FELS
Program Rules prior to submitting an application. Students who do not
fulfill the service requirements must repay the loan in cash, plus
interest thatbegins to accrue upon disbursement of the loan. For more

Program application for 2014-15 is now available, and the application
deadline is April 1, 2014.
2. The Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is accepting applications for student and educator scholarships. Applications must be filled out completely, include all required support materials and be received on or before the deadline of February 28, 2014. To be eligible, students must remit proof of attendance in a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program, possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater, submit an original essay and letter of recommendation from your program director.
