Pell Grants are what comes to mind for most students when they think of financial aid.
Pell Grants are based on financial need and do not have to be paid back, once at least 60% of the student's semester is completed. The amount of the award is based on family contribution (EFC), cost of attendance, and a payment schedule issued by the U.S. Department of Education.
Students interested in Pell Grants must complete a FAFSA so that need can be determined.
SEOG - Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
SEOG is a grant awarded to students with the highest financial need.
SEOG funds are awarded as available and eligibility is based on the EFC determined by your FAFSA information.
